It is difficult to control exactly how teeth move with traditional braces using brackets and wires. The force systems that move your teeth are complex. You visit the orthodontist regularly so that she or he can check how your teeth have moved and make the necessary changes to get them to the desired positions.

Innovation Part 1: Integrated Device

We changed all of that with our Integrated Guided Movement (IGM) technology. With IGM, a personalized device is computationally designed and fabricated for you, with all of the force elements needed to move your teeth to your desired final position integrated into a single device.

The device is installed during your installation appointment. As all of the elements are integrated, you don't need to visit the clinic to change your device.

Innovation Part 2: Guided movement

You need all of these integrated elements to work in unison to move your teeth to the desired position.

You are provided with removable guide trays that are also computationally designed and fabricated for you to be placed over your teeth and device. The guide tray defines a path for all of the elements of the device to move in a coordinated fashion to the final position. The guide design algorithm is optimized to arrive at the shortest path for your teeth to reach the final position.

Guided movement

Driving teeth to their destination

Think of the force elements as little engines moving each tooth, while the guide trays are like tracks along which they are speeding through to their final destination.

IGM is the breakthrough technology that makes truly affordable, convenient and effective orthodontic treatment viable.
