(Crowding of teeth occurs when there is insufficient space in the jaw for the teeth to be aligned. The amount of space that needs to be made for aligningment to occur will determine the type of orthodontic movement necessary. Crowding above 9 mm may require teeth extractions to create the necessary space for teeth alignment.)

b. Gaps in my upper teeth are:

(Gaps caused by smaller teeth or teeth that are impacted or protrusive can be treated by orthodontics. When gaps are a result of missing teeth, a combination of orthodontics and prosthodontics may be necessary.)

(Deepbite: Your upper front teeth cover too much of your lower teeth. Overjet is when the upper teeth are too much in front. Deep bite is more of a vertical issue where the upper teeth are too far down.

Openbite is the opposite of deepbite, when your upper front teeth are unable to touch your lower teeth.)

(Crossbite occurs when one or more of your upper teeth are in inside of your lower teeth. One reason could be due to having a narrow upper jaw.)
